Yeah... it was most likely a misunderstanding 'cuz Joell use to be signed to Aftermath before & that's been for a while now.
The thing is you never know 'cuz Shady might have needed to buy all Joell rights if it was something that was preventing him to be on the label as part of Slaughterhouse so if this was the case they technically own his rights & he's technically a Shady artist indeed even if they don't have plans to release his solo albums on the label. That would a compromise for them to have him as a part of Slaughterhouse, esp. if like I said his previous contract was preventing that.
