Same. Head bobber.

Also, Radioactive had a lot of radio friendly songs. It's not his fault he doesn't have the benefit of payola or a label that gives a shit.

He'll never get big whatever he does. He should just expand his fanbase making good music like he does.

The thing is... I don't see what's the point of being on a mainstream label like Shady (who crafted multiple platinum albums) if he doesn't want to make it big. He knows Interscope doesn't give a shit about him.
If he just wants to expand his fanbase making good music why doesn't he just go independent?
I bet he actually gives a shit, he wants to make it big like Macklemore did. He doesn't know how to do it though, so he just does what he knows how to do, and releases dope, but not radio friendly songs.

He is already on Shady.
Would look like a failure to drop out.
If he rolls with Em and comtinues to drop music we as fans can be proud of he will always be a winner.

If he isn't able to make good numbers with this record, or with next one, he's going to be dropped, same thing with Slaughterhouse. Interscope doesn't give a shit about how fans see him. They just want money, and they aren't probably going to get any from Yelawolf. Look at 50: he was a fucking superstar, now he's not relevant in the music world, just because Jimmy Iovine started to boicot his albums after BISD flopped back in 2009.
That's what happened with Stat Quo, Cashis and Bobby Creekwater.

I dont think interscope can really force em to drop his artists if he really wants them to stay on the label, he is the biggest artist on interscope, they lose so much if em left them

Regardless, nobody on Shady is selling anything beyond Gold with the exception of Eminem and maybe, 50 Cent. The only artist even getting close to platinum is Eminem.
Isn't Shady's contract with Interscope up soon anyway? Their best bet is to just go independent.

That's actually true... I think it's about time. They could hire great specialists who'd do a better job with all the planning & promotion for half of the money Interscope sucks outta them & they'd have all the freedom they want.

Not better than part 1,3,4.
But much better than part 2.
It's got positive feelings on it, as part 1 for example.
I was waiting for some lil bit darker, like pt.4.
Still can't wait for the album though.

Why should he? They've helped him become literally the biggest rapper in history. Not only from a absurd success perspective, but also from a respect perspective, what motivation should he have to pull the plug? He has achieved far more than he could have ever dreamed through Aftermath/Interscope.

@Francesco: I don't see the need for Yela to leave. When he was mad at them before, he didn't really say that they negatively impacted him in any way, just that they didn't really help him beyond what he could probably do himself. He's already escaped any threat of compromising his work, so since he already has full artistic freedom, I could understand why he would still like to be a part of Eminem's crew, so to speak. Why wouldn't you want to be able to flaunt an Em co-sign, and be able to shout out "Shady Records" on your songs? He has said he's honored to be in that circle.

Another thing, I think we have to consider the inevitable deal that Yela struck with Interscope recently. He was all about "Fuck them, they didn't help me..I'm mad at them", to apologizing for being thickheaded with "executives" on Fame. Something happened. All of the sudden in his Sway interview he sounds proud to be on Interscope. Saying, "There were other hands involved with RA, but now that it's just Shady and Interscope, things should be great" (paraphrasing). It should say something that he is clearly more content with his situation now.

I'm not saying he should leave, I'm just saying he wouldn't do it if he ever wanted to.
You're right, he's achieved pretty much everything thanks to Interscope, but I don't agree when you say he hasn't got any reasons to leave.
It's clear that through the years Interscope has forced him to make certain type of songs, and that he had to compromise in some way to appeal more (he wrote The Way I Am as a big fuck you to Interscope, and, oh the irony, that song turned out to be a big single). He had to make Without Me, Just Lose It and, of course, the most forced lead single he has ever put out, We Made You.
I'm not even gonna talk about Recovery, that album is as mainstream as he will ever be (and he kind of admitted it on So Far).
He had to put Rihanna on The Marshall Mathers LP 2 to have another huge single and boost sales. Don't tell he hadn't any pressure to put Monster on the main tracklist of the album because I don't believe Em really thought The Monster was a better song than Groundhog Day, Baby, Don't Front or even Beautiful Pain. That shitty dance-pop beat is enough to throw the whole song in the trash can. He did it because he knows that's what Interscope wants.
So going independent would mean no more limitations, 100% artistic freedom, he would be able to do whatever he wants.
It would be awesome, if you ask me. And given Em's status in the music industry right now, he would go platinum anyway, whatever he releases.
He has plenty of reasons to leave Interscope, if you ask me.
Once again, I'm not saying he should, but it wouldn't be a bad decision.

I didn't say I want Yela to leave Shady homie... I might be mistaken but I think Aone meant it'd be for the best if Shady Records as a label went indie. If that's what he meant then I share his opinion to the full 'cuz I think it's the right time & most of it that Interscope have been slowing down Em & let alone his artists for a long time now. I definitely don't want Yela off Shady.

I think Shady is definitely the best place for Yelawolf. I bet he does want to blow up too, but he's going to let it happen naturally. Radioactive had radio songs..some that would have probably been popular too, but that's not Yelawolf. He wants to make music HE loves and music that he knows his FANS love as well. And shit if it hits the radio then it's a bonus. But no 16 year old girl is gunna bump him whether he's on the radio or not. He looks like a goddamn 80's biker.
