Anyone here actually like Slaughterhouse?

Everything related to the record label Shady Records, including Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf.

Anyone here actually like Slaughterhouse?

Postby Jaba » Nov 10th, '14, 00:48

Slaughterhouse did not live up to the hype with their Shady Records album in many peoples view. Many people also say they do not act as a group.

Others also have completely different views from that.

Anyone here like Slaughterhouse? If so, why? And whats your favorite songs?

Won't be the last time I make a dramatic entrance like that again
You thought I was lyin' when I said I think that I'm crossin' the line again
I've lost my mind, caution oh God I think I've just thought of another fucking line
Forgive me father, for I have sinned
But hip hop has left me brainwashed with a violent streak

Actually, nobody voted me most bipolar lol. My nigga Raul brought me up once as a drama queen when Yelawolf was mentioned.

You literally just make really useless topics about stuff that's been covered hundreds of times on this forum. That's all. I support you when you're in the right, but c'mon man. :facepalm

Yeah Our House was dog shit.

Even though Em remains an amazing rapper, lyricist and artist in his own right... (because he can make even compromised music mind-blowing) - Our House just shows much deep artistic integrity he's actually lost.

EMINEM would never ever consider trying to mould a group like SH, especially for their debut. In fact it rings scarily true to Em in 99 criticizing Wyclef for doing the same to Canibus.

Never would have thought that would one day be Eminem, didn't seem plausible, he loves hip-hop too much. I understand he did it for the right reasons but it just shows a lack of true ambition now also as EMINEM knew that to truly make it - you define the era, not let the era define you.

You stand out to become the new not try fit in and blend your shit.

I'm a huge Royce fan, I really like Joell and enjoy Crooked. Don't care for Joe. So yeah, I think that means I like them.

Most of their work now lacks substance.. Which is a big - in my book
Plus post Shady they (like it's been said many times) have absolutely no chemistry with eachother, which makes them predictable and boring.

I like slaughterhouse. I think people set unrealistic expectations for them since day one. I find that I like their individual solo work better myself, but I still enjoy their group work. If you are under 25, their music most likely will not resonate well with you. 4 guys in their 30's are not going to be able to make music that connects with youth the same way a group of 20 year old kids would. I assume most people here are under 25. If a group of lyrical assassins doesn't satisfy you, there is always the new Migos mixtape :coffee:
