Story:
Life Goes On is the story of Vince and Amy, two soul mates torn apart by one's inability to conquer his demons and accept the fact that everyone deserves to be loved. Vince is Detroit's underground party supplier and has elevated himself to movie star status because of it. Whatever Vince wants, Vince gets. Except for Amy, ironically, who has just graduated law school and is being forced by her transition into the adult world to realize the negative, inevitable consequences associated with Vince's lifestyle. She is left with no choice but to stand her ground and risk losing her soul mate, forever. For two people whose lives have been solely based on one another since childhood, his choice seems simple. However, being the king of Detroit's nightclub, party scene and always under the influence, makes it extremely difficult for Vince to see or accept the truth. Blinded by drugs and living for instant gratification and superficial respect, the downward spiral of Vince's life has already begun and is vividly illustrated through drug use and his deteriorating relationship with Amy. The madness ensues as they battle to find a shred of the love that once connected them.

Eminem on 'Second Rounds On Me' in XXL Shade 45 magazine:
"Obie's second album is crazy. Obie's second album is bananas. We're in the process of mixing it right now, and we got about 13, 14 songs mixed. There were a couple of times where, while we were mixing the record, just in the spur of the moment we started making a beat. Obie started writing to it, started thinking. Yo, I got a couple of lines in my head. Let me say it to the mic real quick. (He) went in the booth and it turned into one of the dopest songs on the album. Obie has stepped up his game so much."
"We go through days where we'll make 10, 20 beats a day. There's no set formula. There's a lot of beats on Obie's album that I would have rapped to. So it doesn't really have a set plan, as long as the beat is dope and it's gotta have a feel to it."
"I was surprised with him trying new things not only lyrically and song-wise, but to bring you this character and where he's really from," he says. "You want to stay true to yourself and your roots. I think this time around, people will get a better idea of who Obie is and what he's about." Get ready to meet the real Obie Trice.
