about "Man Down"

Postby katastrophe » Sep 4th, '07, 21:05

ok, i did some research on the net and:

Interscope censored the first verse of Man Down because he talks about killing a cop and shit like that.
and the Wal-Mart censored version of the cd will have the tracklist say "Officer Down" which to me seems more graphic than "Man Down" but whatever.
so i highly doubt the actual uncensored cd will NOT be 100% uncensored.

so this means:
i will NOT purchase Curtis unless i am 100% assured that the entire CD will be uncensored

Even some of Eminem's shit had to be censored. I don't see what it has to do with you purchasing the CD or not.

because i dont want to hear censored crap on a cd with a parental advisory sticker. so what if he talks about killing a cop? its freedom of speech, who cares. its not like hes really gonna do it. Man Down(in my opinion) is one of, if not the best song on the album and it would be way better if the entire thing was uncensored.

im probably gonna end up getting the album but im gonna wait for some extra stuff to be on it

It don't matter if it's censored. Look on MMLP.Kim, Marshall Mathers and I'm Back were all censored, but it didn't stop people buying it.

If it's censored, there's nothing you can do about it :(

once again, somebody is running to freedom of speech over some censored lyrics. they aren't taking his rights away. he said what he wanted and they have as much right to censor it as he does to say it. i dont see why people have to get all up in a puff just because somebody censored some lyrics.

The government doesn't want those lyrics because it takes away from an individual's natural laws, to be happy. The government has to protect the natural laws or they are revoked. If a person feels like they are being threatened or is not safe for kids to hear, they're not happy. Basically people say fuck Freedom of Speech.

Thing with this is, whole sentances are censored rather than just names as in MMLP.

On Rapgodfathers, there is a 'more' dirty version that has sentances such as 'Tne unit's the new Bebo Who gonna be Eddy Burns? which was cut out. Although this version still has the words 'Officer' and 'Police' cut out.
