Peep it if you're bored, I don't know what could've stopped you from watching it at the beginning though. It was so sad, where he's a kid and his mom is murdered by that dick. I think it's as good as 8 Mile.

It's no where near the movie 8 mile is but it's a decent flick. They play it on B.E.T a lot

Even though I could relate to a lot of the characters in the movie as they were based on real people who grew up around where we were, I still like 8 Mile a little better because it has more energy. GRODT was directed by the wrong person, Jim Sheridan should never have been picked considering he never had an idea about hip hop and all his movies are so slow. They tried to make this too much of a tale rather than a movie.

The ending HAD to be realistic and it wasn't, whereas 8 Mile's was. In reality, it would be IMPOSSIBLE for Supreme (Majestic) to be shot at a 50 gig without a shooutout, plus all the bs about him wanting 50 to kill him, please, Supreme was such an evil motherfucker he'd rather his own kids die before he did.

The soundtrack was better than 8 Mile for me though. Both are classic soundtracks, but outside of the Eminem, 50 Cent and Nas songs on it, there's not much. This is good all over the board.
