I still like Linkin Park , and it's been a few summers since I'm not in middle school...

Linkin Park are one of the best artists right now in my opinion, and they are far from overemotional. If they are overemotional to you, then, as I am not hating, I'm surprised you are able to listen to Eminem.

The difference is Em is emotional in reference to specific issues in his life, and not needlessly so. Of course all music doesn't have to be straight to the point, but Linkin Park just seems to craft songs that appeal to kids with hormone-fueled emotional problems. Their music has little creativity, and is cliche to the point that it's laughable. The Hands Held High song is one of the most pathetic attempts at social commentary I have ever heard.

And they have SO many bitchy songs.

Take this all away
I'm suffocating!
Tell me what the heck is
Wrong with me?
God!
Put me out of my misery
Put me out of my misery
Put me out of my
Put me out of my fucking misery!
I've given up
I'm sick of feeling
Is there nothing you can say?

"Man, these guys make it easy to keep on writing them off as colossal nu-metal/alt-rock assholes, especially since they continue to kick the gasping horses of those dying genres till they're nothing but dusty corpses. Their latest album is supposed to show their new maturity as songwriters and their increasing worldliness. If that were true, then Minutes To Midnight would have decent songs instead of a rehash of the same lame hiphop/metal/electro. Perpetual dingleberry vocalist Chester Bennington can't move beyond the "My life is so painful, wahhh" phase, while rapping/sensitive beard guitarist Mike Shinoda crams in his suburban lyrical "skillz" wherever he can. Try as they might to sound different, or even to touch on issues bigger than their own narcissistic garbage, LP still sound like they're stuck back in 00, which is where they should have stayed."

Yes, except the most recent album. It's overemotional bullshit with little musical creativity.

I like how you think A Thousand Suns is their most recent album.

Go back to listening to Em bitch about his mom.

I've heard it, so no I don't think that?

I WANNA SEE YOU CHOKE ON YOUR LIES.

But seriously, SHUT THE FUCK UP.

I mean, you obviously never looked deeper into A Thousand Suns or the second half of Living Things. Very mature songs whose lyrics definitely don't say ''My life is so painful, wahh''.

''May your love never end/
And if you need a friend/
There's a seat here alongside me''

''Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass/
Hardly anything left for you too see''

''And in the burst of light that blinded every angel/
As if the sky had blown the heavens into stars/
You felt the gravity of tempered grace/
Falling into empty space/
with no one there to catch you in their arms''

''Remember all the sadness and frustration/
And let it go...''

''God save us everyone/
Will we burn inside the fires of a thousand suns/
For the sins of our hands?/
The sins of our tongues?/
The sins of our father?/
The sins of our young?''

I've stopped listening to most new rock music because it has become so fucking faggoty and softer than infant ass cheeks smothered in Desitin.

I want metal music with balls, not some fucking dog shit music with bands trying to prove that they are "mature" for the pathetic contemporary-hipster crowd saturated with faggotry, FUCK THAT!

So, instead of something new and unpredictable, you want the same shit you had in '95?

I'm sick of people bitching about bands maturing and moving on.
