Because A Thousand Suns is a much better album than Encore or Infinite. I don't even like LP and I can see that.

:y:

It's criminal to call Encore or Infinite better than ATS.

As far as LP albums go, I wouldn't even consider it their worst.

Albums ranked -
1.Hybrid Theory
2. MMLP
3. TES
4. MMLP2/A Thousand Suns
5. SSLP
6. Living Things
7. Recovery/Minutes to Midnight/Meteora
8. Relapse
9. Infinite

10. Encore

This is probably my best attempt at ranking the albums even though it's pretty much impossible--two completely different types of music. Also, I can't rate The Hunting Party as it's brand new.

As far as which artist I like better, I honestly can't decide. Although, I may lean toward Linkin Park. Their sound pretty much helped mold my musical interests, such as getting me into rap in the first place and thus, Eminem.

Because putting an incredible, well respected, and critically acclaimed album from one genre over another is laughable, right?

But wait, I forgot, it's an Eminem forum. How can anything ever be put over the god album MMLP, right? Especially that childish, angst-filled Stinkin Lark...ugh, can someone say middle school? :facepalm :facepalm

No one said the thread even made sense (ranking albums of two artists in different genres? :confusion: ) But you don't have to be a dick about me liking one good album over another good album lol

Hybrid Theory is not an incredible, well respected, and critically acclaimed album from its genre

Just as there are rap and hip hop albums that didn't click with audiences but gained a following as years pass, Hybrid Theory is the same way. I won't lie and say I can think of an example, but there are many. Just as there are with movies. Hybrid Theory did things for nu-metal that no other album did. Period.

Keep in mind, this entire forum has been googly eyed over Relapse for the past what, three years? Calling it amazing, a "Masterpiece", and many on here even claim it rivals SSLP, TES, or even MMLP. I've seen many say it surpasses some of them (lol)

Do I even need to show you Relapse's wikpedia professional rating chart?

Saying Hybrid Theory is a nu-metal masterpiece and influential in the genre hardly rivals the farcry that Relapse is a "masterpiece" in any way, shape, or form--ESPECIALLY considering the rest of Eminem's discography.

That's why it's considered a cult classic. Was it said in this thread that Relapse is an incredible, well respected, and critically acclaimed album from its genre? No? So your example doesn't matter? Okay.

Even so, do I care that there are a lot of stupid people on this forum who think Relapse > TES, MMLP, SSLP? Other people having horrible opinions doesn't justify you having a horrible opinion. I don't think Relapse is a masterpiece so none of that really applies.
