Beat Making Program (For Macs) ???

does anyone know of a good beat making application for mac's, i use garageband right now but its not that great for hip hop beats. i looked online but some but im not sure on which ones are actually worth downloading,

Logic studio, haven't used it though but you can do bunch of things with it, might be to difficult if you're a beginner though
