Godly song IMO. I slept on it a bit because of that voice, but after giving it a few listens again, it's got some pretty memorable lines to me.

Loved this song from the first time I heard it, late one night after my dad brought the 8 Mile OST home for me, and it gave special significance to the otherwise fairly forgettable Shady/Aftermath Sampler cd included with the main disc.

I wish more of his experimental songs had come out like this, as opposed to what we ended up with later on with Encore.

The voice he used in this puts a smile on my face every time. Way better than the accents on Encore, Relapse etc.
The lyrics are top-notch and I always sing along to the hook. Very underplayed.

why the hate on say what you say emady?

mainly the beat, and im usually not the one to say any song is bad because of a beat but it just sounds idk too simple and plain. It seemed as a song itself slightly unpolished as well, it was the caveman of the album to the albums sophisticated feel. Idk it stood out like a sour thumb and that album i literally love beyond belief. Yes drips was bad but only cause of obie imo, ems verse was nice. tbh i dont even like cleanin out my closet but its a dope song, i just rarely listen to it.

business is one of the most slept on em tracks imo just for its nonchalant flow and feels like it'd put you to sleep he flows so nice on it but its gotta great beat, funny content, good rhymes, some funny shit and fits perfectly with the album

It hit me the other day, anyone think Em left this off cause he chose Superman instead & didn't want to oversaturate with that character? Or, he just decided to promote Obie instead of using a superior track like he did on TMMLP by choosing to promote D12 over BME by not including Renegade, unless I'm mistaken...
