Relapse was innovative & very well put album overall & only got kinda slept on 'cuz Eminem's management & the way they kept fucking up all over the place.

I think we've discussed that too many times though!

Cause feelings scar, but egos bruise worse

The weird thing they could be ones in different aspects apart what a typical hip-hop song gotta be all about.
I get your point though & I agree with you to the full if we look at it at that perspective!
Regardless... Relapse was on fire. :y:

2. "3 A.M."

"You're walkin' down a horror corridor
It's almost 4 in the morning and you're in a
Nightmare, it's horrible
Right there's the coroner
Waiting for ya to turn the corner so he can corner ya
You're a goner he's onto ya
Out the corner of his cornea he just saw you run"

Rhyme scheme there's fucking amazing, perfect way to start an album.

3. "My Mom"

Sure he's going on about his mom still, but he's got more to say and it's very original.

4. "Insane"

Dope flow. Sick beat. Sounds like classic eminem. Just dope.

5. "Bagpipes From Baghdad"
"Locked in Mariah's wine cellar, all I had for lunch
Was bread, wine, more bread, wine and Cap'n Crunch"

LOLMAOROLFELE

6. "Hello"

Pretty good.

8. "Same Song & Dance"

here's where the album lost its touch slightly for me, Still a good song though.

9. "We Made You"

If it wasn't for the Ken Kaniff parody at the end, I'd hate this song. But I love the chorus now.

10. "Medicine Ball"

Too fucking funny- one of top three tracks on the album.

12. "Stay Wide Awake"

Really sick song, loving the vibe.

13. "Old Time's Sake" (featuring Dr. Dre)

Always love hearing em and dre spit together.

14. "Must Be the Ganja"

I smell something in the air that's making me HiiiIiiGggGGhhHH

16. "Déjà Vu"

Pretty good, always a good listen.

17. "Beautiful"

2deep4u Top three on the album.

18. "Crack a Bottle" (featuring Dr. Dre and 50 Cent)

ehhhhhhhhhhhh Not bad.

20. "Underground"

"Better text message your next of kin, tell em shits about to get extra messy especially when I flex again
Throw a fucking lesbian into wet cement"
Best crack on the album.

Relapse is the 2009 version of SSLP.

Just not as good as SSLP.

Nope it's not TSSLP's 2009 version... both albums are totally different apart the shock value. Relapse is a very well crafted album too.

What you said made me remember what Em said in an interview right after TMMLP dropped.
He said he doesn't do one or two songs plus 15 fillers to make an album but does all rounded albums instead & that's why when he talks to fans all of them point out different songs as their favorite ones.

Yeah definitely, Em's Catalog is so diverse. its crazy. I remember a poll (Cant recall which one)where people had to vote their favourite eminem song. Lose Yourself won but EVERY song from sslp to recovery got atleast one vote except puke.

The closest thing to an accent on Encore was on Rain Man, not talking about the second verse.

Relapse is an album I've grown to appreciate more as time goes on.

Can't forget Ass Like That, but that was intentional.
