Ass Like That was him pretty much playing a pop culture character, so I don't count that, because on Relapse, he was playing HIS OWN 100% ORIGINAL CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL. Plus, it's so shitty I never count it in for anything.

Just not as good as SSLP.

very arguable

Nope it's not TSSLP's 2009 version... both albums are totally different apart the shock value. Relapse is a very well crafted album too.

How are they "totally different?"

Relapse is littered with concepts similar to the content on SSLP.

Relapse is great. It will never get the recognition it deserves because of the accents.

They're very different musically and lyrically, and in how they sound and what they do...

But, they do share a vibe in that Em is totally indulging in character... almost all the way throughout and only breaks for a couple of tracks on each to be real...

Where as... on... MMLP, yeah he's basically provoking throughout etc. but there's much more of a balance of reality in comparison to SSLP and Relapse where he almost totally abandons that beyond some real life references / using his own life as a foundation; but, he's entirely abstract and in-character.

Relapse really is a new incarnation of Shady as a full-blown alter-ego.
