Eminem - Infinite

Postby Hansen » Aug 7th, '13, 23:02

Been listening to this song A LOT recently and don't shoot me for saying this but; this is one of his BEST songs ever.

The beat is simple as shit, but its such a good fucking beat. It helps to set the mood Em raps in. He sounds so hungry, the flow and rhyming is amazing.

He opens with:

"Ayo, my pen and paper cause a chain reaction
To get your brain relaxing, the zany acting maniac in action"

Got me right there, I can't even say that slowly without fucking up.

In verse two he hits us again with:

"Battle a band of phony MC's and stand the lonely one
Imitator intimidator, stimulator, simulator of data, eliminator
There's never been a greater since the burial of Jesus
Fuck around and catch all the venereal diseases
"

He rhymes Jesus with venereal diseases  Amazing.

And he opens third verse with:

"Man I got evidence, I'm never dense and I've been clever ever since
My residence was hesitant to do some shit that represents the M-O"

10/10 rhyming. Speechless.

The hook doesn't dissapoint either. Early stages of his Slim Shady persona.

"I'm Infinite, you heard of hell? Well I was sent from it
I went to it serving a sentence for murdering instruments
Now I'm trying to repent from it but when I hear the beat
I'm tempted to make another attempt at it, I'm Infinite"

It's so interesting to hear what he had to say before his Slim Shady persona was in full blossom.

10/10 song. :b:
TrShady is just great. A place where pompousus blowhards can connect with other pompousus blowhards, and form a vast circle jerk of pomposity.

BTW, the album is good and way too underrated.

Crazy rhyming, great delivery and the beat is good.

My a capella releases classic masterpieces through telekinesis
It eases you mentally, gently, sentimentally, instrumentally
With entity, dementedly meant to be Infinite

OMFG, I absolutely love this song.

I didn't though.

Awesome song, almost 10/10 but it was good for when it was created early career and first album
There's a certain mystique when I speak, that you notice
Cause it's sort of unique cause you know it's me
My poetry's deep, and I'm stillmatic, the way I flow to this beat
You can't sit still, it's like trying to smoke crack and go to sleep
I'm strapped, it's known any minute I could snap
I'm the equivalent of what would happen if Bush rapped
I bully these rappers so bad lyrically
It ain't even funny, I ain't even hungry, it ain't even money

The song & the album are aight... esp. as that was his first album & he was still looking for a style & all that at the time. The thing is the album always comes short when I listen to it though.

I love this song and album. I like this album more than recovery tbh. The rhyming throughout the album is 10/10. It blows me away.

Its up there, I agree with you OP.. but it just isn't the same emcee, you know? To me its like listening to a whole different rapper.. a rapper who bit their style completely off of Nas. Don't get me wrong its wonderful
