I thought Rihanna was gonna ruin it, but she played her cards right and definitely came out with a bang.

Its good. Really good as a radiosong and i am 100% sure thats what its made for.
People think it sucks because they exepted more from the coverart, the albums name, blond hair, rap god coming out before and the songs name.

It's a good song. Right now the perception is different. We were waiting for something really hard, and by the name it sounded really hard. "The monster". And the last song was fucking rap god. So it came off a little weak in the midst of all this anticipation.

But I think when MMLP2 becomes a classic The Monster will claim its title as a "worthy song"
"Dope as shady though? Bitch, don't KID yourself. You ain't even a baby GOAT." -Em (Symphony in H)

Lyrically is pretty good. Rihanna did better on it than on LTWYL. The beat screws up a bit, though.

7/10 Overall. And obviously, it'll sale... a lot which was its main purpose.

Every track from his first three albums is better than this, and would most likely fit better on the MMLP2

And before the fanbois jump me, a revisit suggest a progression of themes, none of which follow through on this track. The pop-sound is key. His verses are not bad, but the sound of the track (we listen to it, don't we? we don't read it) is where it fails.

It's a good song. I really like it and the lyrics are very very good. Eminem on this was great. Rihanna did her part. The beat is questionable but I like it better than LTWYL at least.

This song serves its purpose. I like it but with that being said I doubt I'll be listening to it as much as songs like Rap God and other MMLP2 songs. I've only listened to it maybe 10 times as opposed to Rap God's like 200 times.

Spot on. Change of beat, get rid of some of that poppy oooh ooh shit, then it'd be a lot better.

Its really not bad.
I love the 2nd and 3rd verse.

"I aint here to save the fucking childeren / But if one kid out of a hundred million / who are going through a struggle feels it and relates thats great / "
I love that line, not just the lyrics but his delivery is awsome.Gives me the chills
