How do you know, though?
Different eras. There was no Youtube when Sing For The Moment was released. No Twitter or Facebook. The internet was still pretty young.
Not to mention, no effort was made to create a video for Sing For The Moment (it was a bunch of footage thrown together), the video didn't come out for a year and the single was promoted less than Rap God. But a shit load of people loved Sing For The Moment at the time. It was just one of many great Eminem songs coming out at the time, and it was overshadowed by the success of Lose Yourself.
I can guarantee in ten years' time, far more people will remember the words to Sing For The Moment than they will Rap God. It's a much more memorable song.
I agree with everything until your last little thing (bolded) more people will remember Rap God. Especially since it has that famous Super-sonic part. Both are amazing top ten tracks imo tho
Singin' "Bagpipes from Baghdad" again
In my dad's drag draggin' a faggot in a Glad bag
Won't be the last time I make a dramatic entrance like that again
You thought I was lyin' when I said I think that I'm crossin' the line again
I've lost my mind, caution oh God I think I've just thought of another fucking line
Forgive me father, for I have sinned
But hip hop has left me brainwashed with a violent streak

SFTM>>>>>>Rap God any day of the week.
Not to say Rap God isn't an impressive entry into the Em canon, but it doesn't hold a candle to SFTM.
