"Recovery 2.0" doesn't sound half bad, actually.

Postby EmTV » Aug 18th, '13, 23:07

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it will be Recovery 2.0. Never would I Jagoda do that. But, it doesn't sound too bad. Especially if it's filled with songs like Survival.

Now I know most people would lose a ball over the idea of that becoming true, but I don't mind it one bit. I think Survival is dope. And I'm not exactly the casual hip hop listener.

Especially with the lack of any material. I'd be good for a year or two.

Discuss. Obviously it's not ideal. But it's not that bad. Far from it.

Do not want, especially if it's filled with songs like Survival.

I can't believe it... we were supposed to listen to Relapse2 3 years ago, not recovery !!! and we weren't supposed to talk about a possible Recovery 2.0 Image

I think the problem is Survival is essentially the concept of Recovery done right, but because we've already heard Recovery we don't anything more like it.

I wouldn't mind Recovery 2.0, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be disappointed.

It's really bad, if you put some thought on it.

It'll mean that Em did not evolve as an artist, made an album that'll sound similar to the previous, and has the same bad habits in his music (all-over-the-place screaming, lackluster production, corny punchlines.)

Another unlistenable album? That would be three out of the last four for Em. No thanks.

Exactly this. I would probably still like the material, esepcially if the other songs are better than Survival. Survival is pretty great, it's a great pump-up track. I haven't felt a rush of excitement from Em in a long time until I heard that song. So energetic and powerful. More powerful than songs like Not Afraid and LTWYL, that's for sure. Good songs, but Em needs to get out of that Recovery phase and I think he is.

More like losing TWO balls. So Eminem's goal should be to rap and not rap that bad? What ever happened to making hits?

I'd want something different. It's been over 3 years since Recovery, why would he wanna go back to those topics? Unless you're talking about the sound of the album, which in this case nobody would want because a lot of the complaints of Recovery stems from a mix-pot of producers, which probably didn't inspire him as much as a Dre beat seems to.

Eminem needs to go back to sounding more black. His rock style just doesn't cut it.

I can't see Em taking 3 years to put out an album that sounds like the last one, but we'll see I guess...

Both LTWYL and Not Afraid are probably his most sucessful singles

His music has been :n: since his comeback. Encore was better than Relapse and Recovery by a mile.

Yes it does.

I'm sure there would be plenty of amazing rapping and great songs, but it would be a forgettable album overall with terrible production, cliche hooks and predictable concepts and content.

Encore, Relapse, Recovery... he hasn't made a classic in 12 years. That's crazy, I know it's only 3 albums, not like every single one he makes can be a classic but, this one needs to be... or at least like a WOW 'amazing album' result, after 3 years... well, 3 and a fucking half nearly... if it ain't THE SHIT... it'll be a let down. And Recovery 2.0 would not be THE SHIT.

Do you think he is going to make another classic?
