How will MMLP2 differ from the MMLP?

Postby Hopsinshadie » Aug 24th, '13, 03:34

He's on the right track. Em must be cooking up something real wicked if he really is trying to go back to his old school style and make a MMLP 2. But this could be the album where he fully returns to form or the album that proves he won't ever be able to recapture what he once had. An all or nothing type deal. We remember as Eminem being the guy who said f*ck the world, the guy who killed his wife in a song, and the guy who flipped the bird.

Where will Eminem direct his malicious energy and anger towards? And what will his justification be for doing so? Do you think the anger will seemed forced and manufactured or natural? Will lashing out at his haters compare to being angry at the whole world as a young and rebellious underdog? Even though Eminem wants back, I'm just not sure if he is really all that pissed off.

I'm thinking something along the lines of ''My Darling'' might work. I love his tone in that song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IhA6v6Ky2k

Imagine if 3 AM had the ''My darling'' voice

I don't think any anger would sound fake at all. He's known for pure anger or sweet. Anything in-between seems odd. It's either Kim or Hailie's Song/SpaceBound with him.

Em will never go back to his "old flow" or old self .. if you think that, then you're retarded .. now, he might show a lot of attitude but it will never ever be like MMLP

People need to move past the fact that Eminem will never sound/act the way he did in 2000. He's not 27 anymore.

We haven't even heard the fucking single yet and you're already saying this typa shit? Holy fuck you're an idiot. It's literally all based off ONE picture. Fuckin' wait and see but I'm telling you, nothing he ever makes will EVER touch what MMLP was.

Fucking this.

When the first single comes out, don't fucking bitch when it's not exactly what you wanted. Seriously, don't expect the fucking MMLP, Christ.

Didn't I say he was gonna backpedal? I should've put money down.

He's not gonna make a MMLP II. Put that thought back in your head and put your dicks away.

If he doesn't come close to MMLP, then this should really be his last album. This has to be a classic or there will be plenty and plenty of disappointed fans. He has had 3 years and hasn't made a classic in 11 years.

It's got nothing to do with age... why do people keep saying 'he's not X age' any more lmfao like his attitude has even changed much... do you guys even listen to his words lmao.

It's just style. All that's truly changed is style, rap and musical style.

And in changing style / of writing and rapping, that changes how he delivers his thoughts. But he's the same guy he was in the 00 raps, trying to erk you, using negative adrenaline as fuel, saying much the same things, but just in different ways.

All the attitude is there, always has been. Just depends if it comes together musically and stylistically, and whether he has any more innovative concepts up his sleeve or whether it'll just be freestyle raps with chorus' and predictable introspection.

And he's got ONE more shot. Like you said, this MUST be spectacular and blow us away. Hopefully Survivor isn't on the LP

When someone say's he has one more shot, I just don't get that. Yeah, he hasnt had a classic album for a long time (going by peoples opinions) and has had 3 years to make one. Alot of people want Slim Shady back and are going to be dissapointed. He was in his 20's when the MMLP came out and that was the highest selling solo album, there will never be a MMLP part 2. When he put that and TES show out he was actually living that shit with kim and debbie, etc...

Now he is the number one artist in the world, well at least the last decade. Although he hates fame, he has no money problems, everything in his life is or was dealt with and he is a matured man now.

I do think this album will be a classic rebellious album, if not, I believe he has more than earned his respect, none of this "one more shot" shit. He will still be my favourite artist because of the legacy he has. I will still listen to the rest of his albums till it gets boring.

I actually clicked this topic because the title kind of confuzed me. I not sure why it it is assumed that this will be the MMLP. How is it different? The same way it will be different from all the other albums, it's a new album which we have no idea how it is going to sound yet.
If you had one shot, or one opportunity, to seize everything you ever wanted, would you capture it? Or just let it slip?
