I just listened to Stimulate. It's the first time I've listened to it in forever. It's a top 5 Em song IMO. This should've been on TES. I want Em production on MMLP2 so fucking bad.

If Stimulate was on the place of Drips... I'd rethink my MMLP > TES ranking. Awesome, awesome song.

My fave tracks on Recovery are 'Going Through Changes' and '25 to Life'. I don't really get the love everyone has for Almost Famous... the production isn't good imo.

Like almost every song on Recovery, the mastering makes the beat too loud in comparison with Em's voice. Almost Famous is actually very good, but overrated on TR, in my opinion.

It's better than the production on 25 To Life.

Exactly! Why didn't Dre intervene with the production on Recovery? He's brilliant at making tracks sound crisp and getting the balance of everything perfect. I love the concept of Almost Famous... but the crashy/loud production, grating hook and yelling spoils it for me.

How come his yelling on Recovery sounds soooo different to his yelling on 'The Way I am' or 'Til I Collapse'? I know his voice has changed as he's matured, but it sounded different in stuff like the 2011 BET Cypher. Is it the mixing that makes it sound hoarse/harsh?
