He does have this Slim Shady character that can provide endless entertaining and humorous cartoonish violence. It's novelty might have worn off over time and it's nothing new from him, but it's the classic vintage shit his core fan base loves.

I wouldn't mind a straight rap record like that, especially if he were to provide most of the production and team up with Dr. Dre again.

Doing an album with a live band would also be interesting and different, he has the energy and charisma to pull something like that off.

That's what I thought he should do as well, but now he's speaking up about the fact that he doesn't want to just keep making rap records for the sake of it. So I don't know.

He aint feeling angry anymore he doesnt have it in him... its understandable tbh!! Every shining star burns out after a while. I am just thankfull that got to witness this musical genius. I hope for more songs though, as i said anything he gives us now is a bonus to his legacy.

I agree with this. Eminem from 1999-2002 was untouchable, and like every major artist or band that was his creative zenith. To expect him to maintain that level is ludicrous, so whatever we get now is a bonus and only builds on what he's already given us, rather than tainting or destroying everything.

Chances are he won't be doing this in 5-10 years (considering Relapse was 5 years ago already, which isn't very long), so let's be happy we still have him around to enjoy.
Stop dwelling on the past people, the past is always going to be there to go back to anyway. Enjoy the present and look forward to all the things to come in the future.

A compilation album would actually be a perfect platform for him to be able to flex his rap abilities while he's on fire right now without having to carry the pressures of a full album.

Wow, this song is amazing! I don't give a fuck about the chorus, the verses are powerful and they protray a great insight of Em's career.
I don't thin he is retiring though, but we just have to sit back, relax and wait until Paul or Em say something about what Shady XV is.

Part of me thinks it's cool that he wants to inspire and be all uplifting now, but the other part of me is always gonna want crazy tracks like Without Me and The Real Slim Shady. Sad that we'll probably never get them again but that's just not who he is anymore.
