Well it's not the same concept...

The Eminem Show is THE SHOW, the drama, the violence, the humour, the main element... his life...

Encore is that kind of but, it's the encore to THE SHOW, it's the final bow before he kills the audience and himself. So it's supposed to be darker and more finite... he could have made a masterpiece out of it, unfortunately he didn't stick much to the actual concept and was very silly.

Was just listening to Going Through Changes. Song's a classic imo.

I really want this new album to be full of great songs like that. Also more funny songs that don't sound too forced. Simple story telling ones like As The World Turns or Brain Damage. Songs like My Mom and Insane were close to that.

"My Mom" is amazing.

Also, there's few rappers with that kind of... conceptual range...

to be able to do something as zany and... comic-book like as "My Mom" then something as sober and mature as "Going Through Changes" within just one year apart...

It's like two different rappers.

His Relapse style had no cheese element to it though imo; just sounded incredibly focused, rhyme-packed, eloquent, detailed... you can tell he was trying to recreate "Brain Damage" with "My Mom", is a very similar vibe and concept.
