So many people are doing this eventually everyone in the world is gonna be nominated. Is this even doing anything for ALS? Why dont they just donate money instead of raise awareness. Charlie Sheen did it right. Eminem dumping water on his head wont cure anyone.

Were you talking about ALS last year? Thinking about it? AWARENESS is never a bad thing, it's a lot easier to raise awareness than to convince people to donate for something a lot of people aren't aware of. Donations are up this year as well.

Exactly, DGAF. They had something like a little over a million dollars donated last year. This year because of this awareness.. 15million and growing. The Ice Bucket Challenge works because its not just throwing money at a cause.. it makes it fun. It's ice because ALS attacks nerves. It's not just a random idea someone thought of.

This is a great idea and I'm donating on Friday at work. A co-worker of mine has agreed to get ice water poured over him if people agree to donate during our work BBQ Lunch. It makes it fun, and silly and all around enjoyable plus you're helping a good cause.

I actually never heard of ALS before, but recently they've been putting out posters here in my city and with all the ice buckets and read about it. Awareness is so important. Also donated money, I think it's a great way of raising awareness, well done.

It's more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was a baseball player who developed the disease and died in the 1940s.

Agreed. N yes its doing alot for als. Its not just celebs doing it. The entire youtube community is doing it. And theyre donating as well as the bucket, the donation amounts are stupidly high tbh. This is helping. It would be helping even if the donations were lower
