Were you talking about ALS last year? Thinking about it? AWARENESS is never a bad thing, it's a lot easier to raise awareness than to convince people to donate for something a lot of people aren't aware of. Donations are up this year as well.
Exactly, DGAF. They had something like a little over a million dollars donated last year. This year because of this awareness.. 15million and growing. The Ice Bucket Challenge works because its not just throwing money at a cause.. it makes it fun. It's ice because ALS attacks nerves. It's not just a random idea someone thought of.
This is a great idea and I'm donating on Friday at work. A co-worker of mine has agreed to get ice water poured over him if people agree to donate during our work BBQ Lunch. It makes it fun, and silly and all around enjoyable plus you're helping a good cause.
