well that's your opinion.

you know that an album doesn't become classic just because you and some of your friends like it, right ?
If that was the case, the worst Rick Ross' album could become a classic.

I'm not saying "Yeah Relapse is a classic, and everyone knows it" I'm just saying that in my opinion, it's a classic. Some people on here and on KTT don't consider SSLP a classic, when really, most people probably consider it one. Most people don't consider Relapse a classic, but me, and maybe a few others do.
You thought I was lyin' when I said I think that I'm crossin' the line again?
I've lost my mind, caution oh God I think I've just thought of another fucking line

I said it before and I'll say it again.. it's fun to listen to... but the replay value doesn't ring classic... MMLP, TES... you can throw those on and get chills no matter how many times you've heard um...

The replay value isn't a valid argument imo. The majority of people have a hard time, or are completely incapable of, looking beyond themselves. The culture dictates what is classic, time dictates what is classic, not a singular opinion that happens to get cosigns on a message board.

Survival has totally grown on me. Will totally be a Till I Collapse type song to pump you up after some dark shady shit. Not nearly as good as a TIC but will not ruin album.

I think Eminem's classics are the first three. Relapse is great, but, you know... there's 3 disposable tracks in there. IF the record finished with Deja Vu, the word classic could be more suitable.

Survival is fucking trash imo but it could be a good song if the album is cohesive and flows well

Out of curiosity, what do you find trash about it? :-k

A trash song is a song that doesn't deserve to be played anywhere and most people don't like it, right now survival is doing great on iTunes and a lot of people who don't go on forums that I know really like the song.

everything below 6.5/7 is trash in my book :coffee:

Call it the king lance standards Image

I lol at the fact that people still think he was yelling in Survival. He was rapping with a lot of energy, by that logic, TIC is trash. same goes for the content, it's basically the same topics as TIC, so by that logic, TIC is trash.

The term "Personal Classic" is usually used for albums that don't match the criteria of a classic in general but for whatever reason absolutely blow you away. Relapse is this for me. As a huge fan of wicked horror rap, it was real cool to hear Eminem rep that way 100% for awhile even if it was too good to last from a mainstream artist.

The combination of Eminem's pure mic skills and the content...I haven't heard that anywhere else. Most wicked/horror artists aren't as talented as him, and most talented emcees aren't as fucked up as him. It was great. So, it was a personal classic for me since the first day I bought it.

Anyways, back to MMLP2. I think the production will be a lot cleaner that Recovery. Heck yeah.

If that level of lyricism is what we can expect on the album then I'm totally pumped.[/quote]

TES=MMLP>MMLP2(i believe it will be here)>Relapse=Recovery>SSLP>Encore=Infinite

I have a feeling Recovery will be a classic before relapse lol. And once Eminem dies all of his albums will be classics besides maybe Encore and Infinite .
