Kendrick said he didn't record with Em and look what we got. They could just be covering it up.

^ could also be they cut Em's part from the airing to keep it a surprise for the actual show. No live croud during filming = no tweets about Em being there. Royce also tweeted about Em not being there after someone had asked but like you said, they could just be covering up.
