I love Macklemore, have been on him since I saw him perform in Fort Collins a couple years before he blew. He's dope, has an original sound and style.....but c'mon, he ain't fucking with Em lyrically on any level.

I do think The Heist was a fucking amazing CD though.

I remember when Adam Lambert commented on how he was mentioned on Elevator and thought it was cool. I thought we had gotten to the point where people understood the whole "Slim Shady says fucked up stuff" thing and accepted it.

I just think it's funny this is the ONLY controversy with the song. He talks about battering women to bake a cake(nobody cares). He talks about Satan taking the wheel(nobody cares). Most of the groups that protested him are just like "Yeah, we get it now. Eminem's been around a long time, we get the shtick. No biggie." Only one group is still bitching about it. Weird.

Edit: And I thought the "gay looking boy" stuff was record labels pimping the skinny jeans, sensitive look to be popular. "Gay looking" not gay.

It's pretty dope. Whenever I hear people talk about Mack or hear him on the radio to the point where I start hating it, I play The Heist to remind me that he actually is a good rapper.
