Yeah, not wanting it to leak is fucking retarded. I get that people think "oh his sales," blah blah blah. All of his albums have leaked and he still had amazing sales. Also, if you plan on buying it anyway, fuck it why wouldn't you want to hear it early? I just spent $300 on a fucking picture that he signed and his CD I deserve to have it leak ASAP.

To be fair, as long as you're going out to buy the product in the end, it's fine. People will illegally download it regardless. That's just how it is. If you're going to buy it anyway, I don't see why it'd be an issue. You're still supporting Em. If anything, a leak is insurance to know exactly what you're paying for. If an album is good, people will be compelled to buy it, whether it leaked or not. A$AP Rocky's shit got leaked a month in advance, and people still bought it. If you have a shitty album, nobody's gonna buy it, leaks aren't the problem.

There's no problem in downloading the leak if you'll buy the album. Never said otherwise

Because for some people the listening experience isn't the same. I like to listen to the album with the physical CD, makes the first listen a billion times better. I've got pissed at some of my friends for playing leaked music out loud before its official release (most of my friends know my stance on leaked music and they still do this) because I wanted to hear it for my first time with the CD in my hand and be able to look at the booklet and have great quality while listening. It's like when someone spoils part of a story that you want to read, watch or play for your self.

It IS respect and all, but he KNOWS when it leaks, people are gonna listen to it. I wouldn't want it to leak until release day, but if it's an album I really wanna hear, of course I'm gonna listen, we all would. (Except people in #TeamNoLeak) That's how music goes for every artist, it happens to everyone.

For some weird reason, I'm nervous about the album. I just want him to have another undeniably solid album again. Where the bulk of people are on board with it, and not mixed. Like his first three major albums.

I'm fine with him not sounding the same as he did in that era as artists change, grow, evolve, etc -- but I hope he releases something that most of us will be happy with, whatever that turns out to be.

I'm not gonna go into it expecting X type of songs, or X type of production, or whatever. As long as it's good, I'll be fine. I trust he spent these last 3 years making something he felt confident enough to name after one of the greatest hip hop albums in history period.
