OK, the concept is cool, but I'm not talking about the concept. Most of the people on this planet don't even know about the album's concept. I'm talking about the album's material, that's what you bring up when you discuss how good a work of art is.

Each song is filled with the same monotone flow and boring delivery, packed with cliche rhymes. The production is OK, but it's not exciting like the production on Relapse and Recovery. The songs on Encore are so boring, there's literally no reason for me to listen to them. They either have Ambiem trying to be emotional and serious but looking like a huge pussy, or have him being a complete moron and making him look like a complete moron.

And of course you can take out songs and replace them with the good songs from that era, but then that's not Encore. That's your creation.

It's the most underrated I've heard.

I hardly ever hear it mentioned or if I do, artists and critics just talk about it casually and seem to miss all the conceptual gravitas and brilliance to it.

It's certainly not overrated, and is certainly as brilliant as anyone says it is.
