not sure how you get that out of it especially seeing as em isn't a 16 year old girl.

it's a powerful track in my eyes, it's the only true intimate prosperity track from em, him as a man finally (at least momentarily) overcoming all the bullshit stress/anxiety that's piled up since like proof's death or whatever. and that last line "still a little piece of you died so you scream" hits so fucking hard, it encapsulates growing as a human so well. i was tripping really hard when we first got the bonus tracks and by the end of this one i was a sobbing mess it describes the feeling of molting/shedding from previous versions of yourself so well. 10/10 track for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

edit: and i also think a lot of it is growing up with em's music and watching him evolve over the last 15 years. i don't think this track can be nearly as powerful to the newer fans. it completes his full circle and is imo absolutely necessary to his discography.

Best song on Deluxe, in my opinion. Great hook, I like the basic beat and I love Em's verses and delivery (I don't care if yall hate the deep-end part).
