Yea i was in 8th grade in '96. First time i ever heard of Em was on hiphopsite.com when they were hyping him up and selling original SSEP copies. Man i wish i wouldve gotten my hands on one of them. Saw the Unsigned Hype article, then at the record store i used to fuck with back in late '98, one of the dudes bumped a mixtape that had My Name Is on it and i was hooked ever since. Funny part is a week or so later at the lunchtable in school and shit id tell my friends that a white rapper named Eminem was gonna blow the fuck up and they all thought i was out of my fucking mind.

Yeah homie same thing with me i would tell people that same shit that this eminem dude is going to blow up and everyone said he will never make it cuz he is a white rapper but look at him now one of the biggest rappers of all time
