And Em's albums haven't ever really been driven by singles. Yeah he's always had pretty big singles but... people didn't rush out to buy MMLP due to "The Real Slim Shady", the shit certainly helped yo, as did the other two genius singles and wow @ the other two singles being singles when they're also two of the best songs on MMLP... take that for granted...

But Em can have next to no single juice like on Relapse and still do beefin' numbers. 'Cause it's just about the element of surprise and people never quite knowing what to expect, what he'll say next, and whether this could be some groundbreaking new step forward or not. Obviously most of the time it isn't, but him making people think it COULD be and all the speculation and silence is what drives his sales.

Because I don't really think singles drive album sales any more anyway - as proven by B.o.B's relative flops despite his massive worldwide singles. The reason his albums flopped is because the world isn't intrigued and excited by him; so just because his singles get a lot of play... people today don't go out and buy albums based on a few songs they like. They buy on the artist.
