Talked to my fellow stan friend about this earlier. It's a full minute longer than rap god.

Could mean a few things:
-intro/psa/skit to bring back memories/set the tone + slower flow which draws the song out longer
-intro/psa/skit + long ass verses rapped in fast flow, like Rap God
-no intro/skit, just pure spitting for 7 minutes
-multiple beats means a song that evolves and is orchestrated/arranged in a very unique way

I'm excited for it no matter what the possibility -- he never botches an album opener.

That song and Legacy are the two I'm most looking forward to

I'm looking forward to those two, Evil Twin, Asshole, Love Game, Groundhog Day, Desperation, Rhyme or Reason and Stronger Than I Was.

I also often wonder what has kept Eminem popular for so long. I can't think of any artists that exploded on the scene, became larger than life, and stayed there for their entire career.

You look at all the people Eminem has outlasted career wise. He came up with pop acts like Christina, and Britney, both of whom are nowhere near as big as they were then. A host of here today, gone tomorrow rappers.

And he also went on a 5 year hiatus after dropping his worst received album. All the markings of another artist's career that fizzled out towards the end. Yet he came back out and still did numbers upon his return.

He's still pretty huge. Maybe not other worldly huge like he was in the Eminem Show/8 Mile era, but then again who is? No one is that huge in music at the moment.

Amazing how relevant he still is after coming out in 1999 and going through some of the career failures he's gone through.

I also often wonder what has kept Eminem popular for so long.

Em pulled a Jay Z with Recovery. Em's popularity was slipping with Relapse but Not Afraid and LTWYL shot him back up to mainstream popularity.

IN OTHER WORDS HE SOLD OUT HARD!!!!!

Relapse still sold more than Blueprint 3 and beat it out for a Grammy, he had no fucking reason to sell out. He didn't have to make Recovery.

Wait until the album man, really...this is kind of childish of people to be thinking like this. He sold out with SSLP.

Relapse sold more than Blueprint 3, right, but for Eminem, 2.2million domestic sale figure is pathetic, to be honest. Especially when you consider this is the guy who sold two diamonds albums in the States...he has to find a way to turn it all around, and Recovery serves its purpose right. But with this album...I don't know what to say yet.
