Fucking hell some of you need to calm down. It's a song aimed at the masses and girls mainly to boost sales. It's Rihanna, what were you expecting? This is an album full of surprises and with plenty of depth, this place will go insane over it.

This is precisely what I mean. The song isn't terrible, but a compromised record of this magnitude on the sequel to his masterpiece is what pisses me off. The most compromised record on the original was The Real Slim Shady and that makes Berzerk sound like a Justin Timberlake record... then you have Survival and The Monster, the latter which is a Recovery level compromise.

The fact is that the song could have been great even with Rihanna on it... in fact, a majority of members thought it would be. Instead we get a lack luster beat by Frequency and some shitty cliche wtf moment between a well written hook and good Em verses. It suffers from the same flaws that Recovery does. That same hook, those same verses, minus the unnecessary and shitty "woo ohh" bullshit over a darker piano beat and heavy baseline would've been a 9/10 track for me.

You guys all keep saying "sequel". He has said clearly its NOT A SEQUEL. The sooner you get what that means, the sooner your expectations won't think MMLP reincarnated is coming

I'm still going to buy the album and listen to it, even today Em will have those gems that make the album well worth the purchase, it's just that these 4 songs have given me a realistic expectation and it's a bit disappointing after how hyped I was for this....

Trust me... The Monster, Headlights and Beautiful Pain will be the only tracks like this. The rest will be godly.
