You're really confused, aren't you? I shouldn't even have to explain the meaning of "having a leg up" on someone in a competition. He might actually have liver and/or kidney problems.

He exhibits some of the symptoms, frequent urination and all that. The fact that he did copious amounts of prescription opiates with acetaminophen for years could lead to such problems. His actual near-death experience could have done permanent damage as well.

Or even from the first time he nearly died, before he got signed. I've read that it was Percocet, but I've also read in an unauthorized biography that it was Tylenol 3 (with codeine). Either one could have done serious damage, or at least got the ball rolling.

In fact, drugs that contain Acetaminophen can actually induce Hepatitis.
