I don't want to be that guy, but they would make a lot more sense independent like Strange tbh.

All the more reason to escape from the piece of shit that is Interscope. even if that means buying their way out. I mean Marshall has enough money to do that and with Interscope getting in the way of literally almost everything I don't understand why he doesn't leave. I'm starting to think that he has that "they've been there for me since the beginning I can't just do that to them" mentality. Like he has a soft spot for them but he has to wake up and face the music that if he wants Shady Records to thrive or become somewhat of a powerhouse again, or at the very least actually put out some music consistently and not earn a reputation 4 a label that starves artist so to speak, he has to get out from Interscope. But I think he's too loyal which is commendable but sad at the same time

Yeah, and that's the problem. Its model won't ever work for Slaughterhouse or Yelawolf though, in my opinion.

I don't think they would sell any better on an independent label though. At best, they would make more money off their releases, but thats about it I think.

I don't expect them to sell better, I just wish they were in a pressure free environment where selling 100k is acceptable. I know they made the changes themselves to their albums, but being under Interscope definitely contributed, in my opinion.

Yeah, idk I guess none of us really know what goes on, Interscope must not be too concerned about it though. I guess we'll see with sales of their sophmore releases. I think they might just be letting Eminem do his own thing at this point.

I don't think their new albums are really going to sell much better, if at all. I think they all know that. They tried to go the popularity route and it didn't work out, so they're just going to try to make better music.

I'm thinking that as well, I think the albums will probably sell worse to be honest. But we'll see, as long as the music is good and brings them them at least moderate success I think it'll be ok. Touring is where Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf are going to make most of their money.
