I mean I'm not a huge fan of that 90's New York grit sound. It's probably in part because I didnt grow up on it, but I see the boring aspect for people. It's not bad by any means but I could see why people wouldnt necessarily like it. I think its probably because they don't listen to much old-school hip-hop like you said, so their production tastes are just different.

I wouldnt say old school rap is boring per say. BUT for me tbh it just seems like alot of times there isnt enough going on if that makes any sense. I dont know how to explain my thoughts on this

Exactly. Thats what we supposed to hear finally from them on Glass House album, if it's ever coming out. Props to Just Blaze. I read his interview where he talked about that.
