I thought about it like that at first. But he did record the song, so at some stage he must have felt it could be heard. Like I said in another thread (or was it this one?): Em is the only artist/famous person I genuinely care about at a "personal" level. But I seriously don't think Difficult leaking would hurt him, it might just be the opposite. I think some people might understand just how fucking depressed Em really was and where he's been. Made sense? lol

It could go 2 ways I guess..
Amazingly emotional song..or just something that should have been locked away for good.

how do we even know eminem wasnt planning to release Difficult on Relapse, he said he made alot of proof songs but felt that none were good enough. For all we know, this could have been one of them and he could have considered releasing it.
