The vibe is so MMLP yet so fresh and new. Truly MMLP 2.0.

Some of my fave Em verses and flow ever.

The ultra combo of humour, great lyricism, references, non-serious auto bio & melody is all there. And hasn't been there to this degree since MMLP. Everything post MMLP was either super-serious or super-silly.

This is that mix.

Singin' "Bagpipes from Baghdad" again
In my dad's drag draggin' a faggot in a Glad bag
Won't be the last time I make a dramatic entrance like that again
You thought I was lyin' when I said I think that I'm crossin' the line again
I've lost my mind, caution oh God I think I've just thought of another fucking line
Forgive me father, for I have sinned
But hip hop has left me brainwashed with a violent streak

How so haha?

I couldn't believe what the hell I was hearing haha. I said to myself out loud, "No. Fucking. Way". I just got done freaking out over Brainless, and I was so hype to hear what he was going to shred up next, and then....complete confusion haha

Haha I had a similar reaction, halfway through the song, I was wondering if he was even gonna rap. I really like the beat, and the verse is pretty sick for the most part IMO. The album comes to a dead stop as that song comes on lol.

I had to skip it on first listen because i was hyped like you and it was a complete change of pace. But i really like it now. Bumped this album twice recently and i fucking love it. The bonus tracks have grown on me loads as well. Em's level of creativity and rapping on this album is top fucking notch, to say the least.
