Anyone noticed how Em's voice in "Syllables" sounds similar

Postby RainMan44 » Jan 9th, '11, 01:28

to his voice in "Must Be The Ganja"?
There is a small similarity, so was this recorded around the same time?

Also, anyone here also hear a similarity between the TES Em and when Em says "When I'm behind the mic, dynamite's what it's kinda like" on MBTG? I do. :D
"This dude doing this interview wants me to spin a few,
Lyrics while I tie my tennis shoes in the nude
A romantic interlude in a livin’ room,
In an inner tube with a dude with a bit of lube
Fuck that I’m sniffin’ glue, sippin' gin & juice,
And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."

I know that but I guess the way he delivers the "dynamite" line is kinda like TES. But for some reason I feel a similarity in the voice of MBTG and Syllables...Although he has his "zombi-ish/fat" voice on Syllables, deep down it kinda sounds smilar to MBTG.

May be because Eminem rapped MBTG and Eminem rapped in Syllables.

May be it's the same Eminem.

May be because no matter what time frame, he can still be himself he was in 2006 or 2009, he still had his old accents/flow.

So you're telling me if I get somebody who's never heard Em, and I show him "Infinite" and then I show him "On Fire" he'll notice that it's the same person? No chance.

BUT since "Relapse" came out in 2009, MBTG was most likely recorded in 2008, so it was pretty close to "Syllables" So the difference between Relapse and Syllables is the same as that of Recovery and Relapse.

If you knew that, why did you ask if they recorded at the same time?

Syllables is lazy, Re-Up era Em.

Syllables is the time where Slim Shady he liked to just piss off people and just joke around in all his music.

I asked just to see if anybody else noticed it, of course I know the dates of Em's albums :facepalm
But like I said, Relapse was most likely recorded in 2008, so the gap between Relapse and Syllables was the same as that of Relapse and Recovery, so the voices didn't change THAT MUCH.

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

It's Eminem singing all them songs so their gonna me similar
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

No.

Pills-bury Doughboy and sober Eminem sound nothing alike.
Canning: What will it say on your tombstone?
Charlie Sheen: Something dot com.

No, "Syllables" is actually fucking sick. It's better than any of the "comedy" tracks on Encore by a fucking mile.
