Would Eminem have produced most of King Mathers?

Postby xxTrigger1989xx » Jan 9th, '11, 18:29

Every song that we've heard that was rumored to be on his 2007 album that he was working on (working title: King Mathers) seems to have been produced by solely himself, save for Syllables. Everything else is Em produced. So, my question to you all is, do you think King Mathers would have been a good/great album with Em producing most of the beats? And for the most part, these beats are pretty good, not quite up to TES production, but still good

Do you believe as I do that King Mathers would have been good, at least production-wise if not lyrically?

07 he was really deep into his drug phase so honestly I don't think it would've been that great lyrically. I'd say if we got to listen to all of what was supposed to be King Mathers most of us would agree that Relapse is superior to it. Just my opinion though.

To answer the title question, yes I think he would've produced most of KM mostly because he was pretty alienated then from the outside word ala alienated from outside producers, and I think production wise king mathers would've been better than recovery, but lyrically wise hell no.

And for me lyrics are far more important than beats, so in conclusion king mathers woulda probably been shitty.

Lol however there woulda been a lot more emotion in KM but that's a story for a different thread.

Yeah he would have produced it i think, he was producing alot back then. I hope he produces some for his next album, or the D12 album. I remember at the time, waiting for the King Mathers album, shame it never happened, but it wouldnt have been anywhere near his best and would have gave people something to moan about like with Encore. But personally i like Encore (His other albums are better than it tho), and im sure i would have liked King Mathers regardless.

Oh yeah, I agree, that's why I said I think the production would be good, if not the lyrics. But, I dunno, I think it would have definitely been better than Encore. I think it would have been a very dark album, which is the kinda shit I like

We'll never really know, though, so it sucks. Even if it would have lyrically sucked (not saying it would have, seeing as how we have no way to REALLY know) I still probably would have ended up liking it

With drugs Em used more times on beats then lyrics. The beats on KM would have been great!
And maybe more songs like LTS and Mokingbird (Something I wanted on Recovery and for his next album).
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.
