Not as long as you keep that mindset. Lyrically, Em is lightyears beyond where he was then. His multi's and metaphors are mind-blowing currently. The only thing that MMLP had that his current work doesn't, is his youthful angst. Which provided that fire you hear in his voice. Everyone was against him at the time.

Now he's much more focused on the technical side of lyricism, as opposed to just lashing out. He doesn't have anything to prove anymore. Rap is his playground now.
