But everything except the second verse follows along the "stepfather rape" storyline. The second verse comes out of nowhere. Why would he throw in a showcase verse in a song that tells a story?
And thanks to everyone who cleared up the Difficult question.

You're correct when you say there's a bit of a fictional story in the first verse. However, the third verse doesn't really continue the story, it just has references to his stepdad. In fact, the third verse is nearly as random as the second. The appeal of these songs is the humor/flow/rhyming. "I think I'm fucking MeeEEEeelting" gets me every time.
Such a great song. You know what else I've noticed? Em's recent work, at least TO ME, is a bit....boring. It's lacking personality or something. The delivery just bores me. In "Insane," the delivery, the attitude, the personality, the way he says shit...ahh.

"This dude doing this interview wants me to spin a few,
Lyrics while I tie my tennis shoes in the nude
A romantic interlude in a livin’ room,
In an inner tube with a dude with a bit of lube
Fuck that I’m sniffin’ glue, sippin' gin & juice,
And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."
