Guess @ 'The Monster'

Postby EminemBase » Oct 24th, '13, 10:13

I have a feeling that it's going to either be:

1. Self-referential/angry introspective concept track kind of rapping about himself as the monster of society around the MMLP time... as in, analyzing if he was a monster/is one and kind of references to things he said and the outrage etc.

2. An extreme domestic violence song; considering Em works out 'formulas' aka 'goofy single = works' for songs - I have a hunch that this may be like a very dark and extreme domestic violence tale... to kind of rehash the LTWYL formula but really kind of take it to an extreme... aka perhaps a true story or dialogue, with him shouting or about to hit / woman etc.

The Monsta.... the monster.... oh oh oh oh oh

hook will sound like Skyler Grey in, ''Our House.''

This will be the most generic song on the album along with Skyler Grey's and this song will be very predictable. Just generic lyrics about how Em feels the darkness in him at times, or it could just be a dark LTWYL. It won't be anything else. Very generic.

^ The delivery / execution of it may make it genius though.

If you were describe "The Way I Am" before hearing it aka 'a song where Em raps about pressure from the label, and fame' - it sounds quite lame and generic. But the execution makes it a masterpiece.

NOTHING can be said Before we here it.

People thought Rap God would be a boring track where he claims he is a god among fake idiots.
No one knew he would actually prove it.

true but i feel the execution will be generic. But with rihanna on it, the public might like it considering ltwyl. Rap God was creative, but I don't know if the one will be.

Who's it been produced by?

I'm inclined to think it will be generic but if the producer has some good material it might surprise me.

LTWYL is anything but generic.

Generic-ish Rihanna hook but as far as pop hooks go - it's pretty distinct and quite unique in how it sounds; and then Em's rapping was not by any means generic.

A really harsh, hardcore record about domestic violence with a rapper realistically ripping apart the psychology and lightly storytelling is NOT generic, let alone how he sounds. Go find a rap song in history with a rapper sounding like that. Good or bad - it's unique.

I dont like Em using Skyler Grey but how is Survival not generic?
Rihanna already makes LTWYL and Monster less generic than any song Skyler is on or Survival.

I am going with OP's #2

Produced by Frequency isn't it?

I've never heard of him, anyone got some links to his work?

Agreed... sometimes I have to wonder if people even bothered to actually listen to it
