MMLP2 wasn't as exciting as Relapse but future is bright

Postby monobloss » Apr 30th, '14, 22:51

When we heard that Eminem is going to make album called MMLP2, everyone filpped because of nostalgia factor. Yes, Eminem did deliver but... MMLP2 title already ruined the suprise cuz we knew what kind of songs to expect. Relapse was something ealse, whole new concept not even remotely close to anything he has done.

The point is that we should be 10x more excited about the upcoming album ( i hope there will be another one O.o ), becasue he has used all possible themes that are easily predictable. What's up next?

Old School themed album given the whole boom on 90'? Beats Music Concert, old song re release (ft Skam), Don't Front track which wasn't on the album because it was recorded too late. It's his most recent work. Total Slaughter, another factor that brings back the old days. Something is coming, and it's going to be big. :shifty:

It's not leaking bro. Never will. Well it will, on 5th nov.

I'm 100% positive it will leak before that. I'm so positive, that if it doesnt, I will never have Emma Stone in my sig again.

I didn't expect first single to be anything like Berzerk, my jaw hit the floor when I heard Rap God for the first time and I've never felt that excited about any album before...

I'ma MMLP2 freak tbh Image

anyway I wouldn't mind:

- d12 album
- em&yela EP
- bme EP
- em&kendrick EP

Im not saying MMLP2 is worse or Relapse is better. Like Menzo said, it's about the mystery.

both Relapse and MMLP2 were surprise albums for me (I didn't like Relapse at first though :'( )

I would love Eminem to put out an EP with 10 tracks, no radio songs, just fuckin' arround on Dre beats

EVERY em fan flipped out. God damn that was awesome.

On topic, I can say that I was every bit as excited about MMLP2 as I was relapse. I was on this damn site every day for hours for what felt like 2 years waiting to hear anything about this album. I expected big things and was still blown away from the first note of bad guy all the way through to the end of Beautiful Pain (I don't like wicked ways).

I didn't know anything about relapse leading up to the release other than that I was weirded out by the singles and his accent. I didn't expect much after hearing CAB, 3 AM, Old Time's Sake, and Beautiful. I still couldn't wait to hear it, but didn't have any idea what to expect. I realize that this means it could be more exciting, not knowing what was coming, but I wasn't blown away by Relapse after one listen. Sure, I liked several tracks right off the bat (SSAD and SWA) but the rest of the songs took several listens for me to appreciate them. I had to take a break after every MMLP2 song after the first listen to comprehend what I just heard. I was blown away, and grew more excited after each verse. Relapse kind of went the other way, as I was more weirded out after each verse. I happen to love Relapse now, but at the time, it was a strange experience.

I remember being more excited for relapse because i was so sure that mmlp2 would suck. as time went on, i became more curious about the album though.
