I suppose he just has defferent ideals when it comes to different subjects.

I consider myself a liberal, but I support gun rights and am not in favor of abortion.

I don't think he even knew where he stood. He just fucking hated that man in your avi and all he stood for
He threw a few funny punches at Clinton but nothing more and he's not really said a word since Obama has been President...Guessing he likes him

Pretty sure he was always a hardcore democrat. In addition to just hating on Bush, didn't he support the Kerry Edwards campaign and donate?

I wonder if he really felt as strongly about politics as he let on in his music.
I don't know all that much about it but Horse always said Em never really knew what he was going on about in his political songs

It's an unwritten rule in "hip hop" that you have to be completely on the left and identify with the pot smoking conspiracy theory culture morons, but make an exception for gun control, because the hood rats rappers try to identify with depend on guns for their "livelihood." You can tell Eminem kind of winces at it, as he looks uncomfortable whenever that kind of stuff comes up. He only really cares about politics when it comes to censorship and public perception of hip hop, since it affected him directly, but he still tried to play the rest of the pothead leftist's game to fit in. Get him on pills and you get "Mosh."

When did he call those pop stars our for dressing promiscuously? I know he called them out as a contrast to his lyrics, asking why that was ok but his lyrics weren't.

I think him raising his daughters more conservatively has a lot less to do with his political stance and more to do with keeping them out of the limelight to maintain a sense of privacy. I dont think hes a conservative parent in the traditional sense that we think. He lives in a not-so-ordinary circumstance. Also just because he appears to be a responsible father doesnt mean hes a conservative parent. Truth be told, we really dont know how he treats his daughters beyond kindly and lovingly.

Theres no way he would be an overbearing father to his daughters and then speak about freedoms and liberties his own music should have. That would be too much of a contradiction.

I think hes definitely left leaning, I also think We As Americas was fueled more by his desire to have fire arms due to his personal situation, more so than his overall stance on the issue.

I think hes like a lot of us, he leans towards one side or the other, but does see value in certain things the other side has to say.
" Life can change your directions, even when you ain't planned it
All you can do it handle it, worst thing you can do is panic
Use it to your advantage, avoid insanity manage
To conquer, every obstacle, make impossible possible
Even when winning illogical, losing is still far from optional.." -T.I.

I'd disagree with Horse, I think it's pretty clear to see where he stands with what he's saying in his music. He's probably one of the most straight forward rappers out there.

I'm not too up on my politics but I really enjoy his political songs, especially White America
