Do you think Em's moves in the rap scene are questionable?

Postby Raul » Sep 24th, '14, 21:44

After reading about PHRhyme, for example, listening to Kenny's 1st single and listening to a lot of other rap music in 2014 I wonder think about Em's choices of production and features.

Em always says some shit like "I want to keep my finger on the pulse of what's going on in the rap scene" but that doesn't seem totally true.

I know, Em's a recluse, a studio rat, etc and etc, but his moves in the rap scene and some choices concerning his projects are questionable imo. Even if I love Rihanna and Sia and the pop hooks Em has been doing lately, I wonder if he is losing respect in the hip hop scene by keeping himself kinda away from it. Em should participate more, make more features with important names, work with hot producers and all that.

Discuss.

This time I'm truly surprised you didn't take me seriously. This is a legit, non-troll thread. I'm calm but this 'you need to take a break' Kill You-like shit is annoying me. Just stick to the thread's theme, please.

Adèle's voice isn't good for singing, but Eminem + Becky G can only result on pure fire.

I think it's time you take some time off Raul, KTT rotting your brain.

With that being said, if there is any new school rapper I'd like to see Em work with, it's Tyler the Creator.... but aside from that, I really don't give a shit whether or not he works with any of these new rappers/producers, quite frankly I'd wish he'd stop working with so many different producers and just go back to producing his own music all together.

Em has always been a 'if it's not broke then don't fix it' kind of person. Also, the one time he did try to work with other producers, we got recovery. He likes working with people who have shown him love throughout the years, in terms of rapper collabs.

Eminem has always sounded a lot different than rap in general. he has always done what he has wanted to do. he may say other wise, but he has always done things on his own and evolved as an artist on his own.
