Em started working on MMLP2 at an unknown point in 2011. I'm interested in putting together a timeline of the events/releases between late 2007 and early 2010. You all probably know which two occurrences those dates bookend. This material includes both Relapse and Recovery. Any discussion or insight presented in this thread would be appreciated. People tend to like sources sited when discussing this stuff and I will post them when requested. Anyone disinterested is free to find one of many other topics they can derail. I think fans should understand and appreciate this important time in Eminem's life and career.

Most of these dates aren't correct but heres my best guess
Pre December 2007- Em is recording KM songs such as The Apple, GOAT, Beautiful, Careful What You Wish For, My Darling.
December 25, 2007- Em overdoses on methadone
Pre April 20 2008- Em leaves hospital and relapses
April 20th 2008- Em becomes Sober
April-October 2008- Em begins Relapse Sessions and is writing his book
part 2 of the timeline later

May 2009- Relapse is released to mixed reactions
Summer 2009- Em begins early Recovery recordings and releases The Warning and his Forever Verse.
October 2009- Em is well into Recovery sessions, performs at Voodoo Fest
November 2009- Psycho with 50 Cent is released
December 2009- Drop the World comes out (first sign of Recovery Em)
January-April 2010- Em continues to record Recovery
April 2010- Relapse 2 is officially non existent, Recovery announced. Not Afraid released
June 10 2010- Recovery is released

No. DVLP: "I produced the Rap God beat in 2011. I just knew that there was something special about that beat. My manger had a relationship with Eminem’s manager and sent the track over to him. Eminem’s team had gotten back to us basically telling us to put it under lock and key and to make sure nobody else gets it, because Em was interested in it and had started writing to it. Almost two years of hearing “he’s writing to it” or “he’s recording to it” had gone by before the record was finished, because Em’s such a perfectionist with every single line and word."
