what

why are you feeling this way here ?

Not necessarily here, it's just something I've felt before. And it generally seems to involve threads with Class in them :-k

This is a real conspiracy and I'm going to solve it.

Everything I say when it comes to music is how I feel. Unless I'm just fucking around lol

And that isn't objective in any way.

That's certainly objective…everyone and their mother thinks MBDTF is a classic. If it's not a classic then very few albums are…a few idiot stans that have no perspective on hip-hop doesn't change that.

If I were to make a poll on Twitter or Facebook, and ask if MMLP or MBDTF is the better album, who do you think would win?
RYM is irrelevant, as is GQ's "MBDTF is AOTC" article.
RYM because of the hilariously small (relatively) number of voters and GQ because, well, it's GQ.

Jesus Christ, I turned off "sub-genres" and first 3 places is Kanye West. And number 29 is russian( wtf) abstract hip-hop crap. No Nas or Pac for example. Only Kanye West. What is this site?

Not really a hilariously small number of voters…10,000 people is as good of an aggregate as you're going to get. I don't think you would get 1/1000th that many responses in your tweet but if a twitter like HipHopFacts (I don't even know if that's real twitter, I just made it up but get the point) tweeted it then I think MBDTF would win.

Most albums have more specific genres than generic "Hip-Hop" Wu-Tang Clan for example has it's genres as (Hardcore Hip-Hop, East Coast Hip-Hop and Boom Bap) so taking off sub-genres takes off most hip-hop albums and is a pretty pointless thing to do and shows nothing about the site.

The term 'classic' is thrown around way too much these days. MBDTF is by no means a 'classic record', but it is sonically great none the less (thats all it has going for it tbh -- it's sonically fantastic)

Not trying to antagonize you one bit but I believe it has been and is currently still being hailed as a classic.

I bet most of the people that label it a classic, let alone anything a classic, doesn't really know what it actually means.
