Tracks like Soldier and Sing for the Moment make it timeless.

TSSLP is really, really, really good, but it is hard to keep enjoying his awkward flow where he would rap off the snare like on Role Model, but the way Dre mixed the shit made it sound really awesome. He didn't really do anything to the vocals, they just did it all raw. I would call TSSLP the epitome of underground rap at the time, just crazy rhyming. It's amazing how he was able to rhyme so well and still tell a story, like on Brain Damage, but I feel like TES is the stronger album. It feels more smooth, He flows really clean on almost each track, The mixing is perfect, and I think he utilized his lyricism really well. I feel like TSSLP and TES are polar opposites. TMMLP being the perfect record, and the other 2 being on the edge.

That's pretty much all I have to say.

TES could be argued as his prime. but 8 Mile and Rabbit Run is probably where he peaked.

Complaining about that is like complaining about cartoons being drawn "off-model." You can't expect creative, interesting deliveries when you're stuck in such rigid parameters. Jay-Z never followed the generic rap approach either, which is probably why he caught on so much.

"Rushed" is Royce on Bad Meets Evil.

TES is way more mature and solid. SSLP is good for listening when you are bored, it got some pretty emotional songs like If I Had or Rock Bottom, and Marshall sounds really hungry on the album. However, in TES the emotional songs are really touching and they are on other level (Rock Bottom is fucking great but it doesn't get me like most of the tracks of TES), his skills are even superior, more balanced and musically just sounds better.

And yes, i also think MMLP2 is better than SSLP.

Is not really hard to decide, i think the real question is TES or MMLP.

MMLP, easy. That album straight through is all 10's. TES isnt. Say What You Say and Drips are the only non-10's imo off it.

Honestly, this one might be a dead tie to me, even though that's cheating.

Sometimes I feel like that tbh but I always end up giving the edge to TES when I go back and listen to them both

TES is a collection of songs about like five subject matters, while all of SSLP is diversive. Though, TES definitely has the better sound, SSLP slightly edges out as the better album.

TES real tracklist:
1. Skit
2. Political Track
3. I'm Rap's hero
4. Hate track
5. Political Track
6. Skit about a random event from 2000 that no one cared about in 2002, nevermind now.
7. a random event from 2000 that no one cared about in 2002, nevermind now.
8. a random event from 2000 that no one cared about in 2002, nevermind now.
9. I hate bitches
10. I'm Rap's Hero
11. skit
12. I influence kids/a random event from 2000 that no one cared about in 2002, nevermind now.
13. I hate bitches
14. I love Hailie
15. skit
16. I influence kids
17. Hate Track
18. I contradict myself by talking about my skill, than vastly underrating myself.
19. I love Hailie
20. skit

Don't get me wrong, I love TES, but SSLP is clearly better.
