Hard one.

Nas's rhyming ability on Illmatic has never bored me - his flow and rhyme scheme's are classic and I think only SSLP gets really that close to Illmatic just pure rhyme wise.

However, I think Em is a better storyteller and is more effortless with his multies than Nas and is far more versatile lyrically, based on their whole careers. I cant be judging Nas just of one album.

It's very close though. Probably just Em.

As an artist overall, I prefer Em much more though, as much as I love Nas.

well, from what I've heard (probably eminem's whole musical work, sadly just a part of Nas) which are my favorite rappers, Eminem is more like a rapper who brings up his anger from his past (more like things related to his past, his struggle etc etc), nas compared to eminem is more like a non-personal rapper, I mean he created a classic album (Illmatic)which doesn't contain much personal things and has the ability of absorbing every music listener whether hip-hop fan or not... but my post is kinda worthless, because I don't have the rights to judge them since I didn't listen enough to nas...

well in my opinion Nas is an amazing lyricist and it's hard to beat him but tbh eminem has a something in his voice that captures you and he doesnt even have to rhyme sometimes to sound dope..
