I respect everyone's opinion as an opinion, however, I do not agree with everyone of them. And I was not speaking to you, or anyone in this thread directly. I'm talking the kind of people who don't even listen to Canibus or his album so they automatically vote "Relapse" because it is, of course, an Eminem Album and being so it is the only album in this debate that they have listened to, but this is expected as this is an Eminem forum.
I could have worded my post better, but it's more along the lines of "If you're gonna be biased on your opinion, then don't vote".
No need to blindly cuss like I was trying to start an argument with you

.
And you think Relapse was a great album and that is your opinion, that is good for you. I did not enjoy Relapse as an Eminem album because it wasn't what I was expecting after 5 years of hiatus. It had some great songs that are in my top 10 Shady list (Stay Wide Awake, Deja Vu, Beautiful), but it didn't feel really consistent because these were dragged down by songs that I didn't enjoy at all that I skip almost everytime I play through the album. (Argue with me all you want but I will never be able to say "Medicine Ball" or "Old Time's Sake" are dope

)
This is because when Eminem left off, he was in that personal state of mind where he was breaking down the mirrors that he had set up for his life (Eminem Show, and to a lesser extent, Encore), and with Proof dying, Obie getting shot in the head, the underground talking shit on him, and the dozens of faggots standing in line dissing him, I was expecting him to atleast give us some incite on all of this. Which I believe he planned on doing, atleast from what I heard from the rumors surrounding "King Mathers", but he decided to take a different approach to this, which I respect, but this new style wasn't exactly in my taste because in my opinion, it felt forced.
I'm not saying Em's new style is bad or anything because when he really gets into it, and I mean
really into it, he creates masterpieces. Music Box, My Darling, Elevator, Forever, Drop The World, etc. All of them felt alot more coherent and fitting than what he was doing on the original Relapse. If this were a Refill Vs. Melatonin Magik thread, I would choose Refill in a heartbeat because, to be honest, if he switched around a few songs on Relapse with the Refill songs, it would feel somewhere on par with Eminem Show, which was a much better album than Melatonin Magik.
But it isn't a Refill vs. Melatonin Magik thread. So I'm going with MM. As for Melatonin Magik, Canibus is just as good as he's ever been, and it is exactly what I expected from him, therefore I tend to lean towards it more. This album is my 3rd favorite album by Canibus, Relapse is my 4th favorite album by Eminem. They are both good, but MM is more appealing to me.
