Obie Trice - Bottoms Up

Postby MikeNUFC » Apr 4th, '10, 15:29

Any news on this album?

I know Obie released Special Reserve at the end of last year as a sort of hold off for this album but I havent heard anything since.

I love Obie (only good artist Eminem has ever signed) and this is quite an anticapted CD for me.

No news on this yet really. I think he left the Em-nest too early. I can understand him wanting to escape the shadow but he could of just had less involvement on this one, just let Em exec produce it and just be on one track or something.

He wasn't hugely successful on Shady but having that backing was still a massive help to him and I think he'll struggle without it now. Despite how great he is.

Cheers is a good album. Just a little feature heavy but all the features are great. Second Round's On Me is good too. Special Reserve was a bag of shit, nice name and idea. Nice way to put out some old material with a new twist whilst finishing the next but still... Probably would of been better just as a free online EP or something.
